We train twice each week, on Friday evenings and Sunday mornings, and both are held in the Parish Hall at Backwell crossroads. Training sessions are for mixed ages and abilities, meaning they're perfect for both individuals and families alike.
We cover a full traditional Karate syllabus, taking you through Karate basics, kata (traditional sequences or forms) and sparring, from controlled drills for beginners right through to free sparring for those more experienced.
Overall though, the emphasis is on your own personal development and helping you to reach your goals. That's why, when you start and at regular intervals, we'll ask you what you want to get out of your training at Backwell Karate: whether it's reaching your next belt, competing in a tournament or simply keeping fit while learning a traditional martial art.
